The roots

Our history

After years of working at another location, father and sons decide to start their own business by opening: "Laboratorio Torrisi", with the official opening date of 05/14/2014.

After only 3 years of sacrifices, late nights and hard work we redid the look with the renovation of the premises, which took place in April 2017. Today it has become and established one of the best pastry shops in the Catania area.

The Tik Tok Pastry Chef

He began his business working at the age of just 11, and immediately learned the recipes and advice of the old pastry chefs and immediately treasured them.

Today he is one of the few pastry chefs to take care of the secret recipe of "Pazientini", typical crunchy almond biscuits that date back to 1885 and his recipe still remains secret today.

Venturing into the world of social media (The Pastry Chef of Tik Tok) becomes viral with the typical expression "Ciatamettiri u Pistacchiu", a phrase that means: "Pistachio must be put in abundance on desserts!!".

A linguistic pearl that makes its presence indispensable even in the context of the sweet world of pastry making.

With the help and support of his father he ventures into the world of work, covering various roles as waiter, cashier, ice cream maker, counter clerk, working together with his father, but the passion that emerges is that of pastry making.

Become a skilled pastry chef with love and dedication to traditional and innovative pastry making, with modern cakes and semifreddos.

Today he is the owner of the company!

He abandoned his studies at the age of 15 and began to lend a hand to his father and brother with commitment right from the start. Today, after years of learning, becoming a pastry chef, he plays a fundamental role in the creation of sweets and all the preparation in the laboratory including: "Breakfast, biscuits, snacks, diner" and much more.
